Heritage Sounds Music Festival

Heritage-Sounds-Music-Festival (HSMF) is a 3-day musical-extravaganza that takes place in Brampton in the month of June every year. In it’s 9th year now, HSMF has become a grand celebration of diversity, a showcase of South Asian culture and music, and a place for cross cultural music discovery.

After years of growth, the HSMF has become a strong brand with its multi-lingual, multi-genre and multi-activity programming. The HSMF brings the excitement of love music through multi-day, multi-event and multi-stage presentations:

Heritage Sounds Day 1 – FLOWERTOWN JUKEBOX is a pioneering cross-cultural music celebration that brings together attendees from diverse backgrounds and expose them to new genres and sounds, as well as their cross-cultural influences, through an exciting concert. This event features many popular genres of music, including Pop, Rock, R&B, as well as Bollywood Music which has been influenced by the Western Sounds. It aims to provide fans of these styles with the opportunity to experience these sounds live and offer newcomers to the genres a chance to expand their sonic palette while discovering new music in a festive atmosphere.

Heritage Sounds Day 2 – BTOWN MEGAFEST is a day-long, community-centric celebration of South Asian music. This grand event serves as a celebration of Canada’s rich diversity, fostering cultural exchange and engagement. The festival highlights a wide array of genres, spanning Punjabi pop and urban music, and offers a platform for both renowned celebrities and up-and-coming artists. It is a grassroots gathering that draws in families, youth, seniors, international students, and music enthusiasts from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond. It’s a day filled with exhilaration, entertainment, interaction, cultural sharing, and educational experiences.

Heritage Sounds Day 3 – SUFI & FOLK SOUNDS is a live concert leading the audiences to experience the power of Sufi Music and the rawness of Folk Music. Audiences step into a new dimension of being, immersed in the universal sound current, and listen to the song of their soul. The rich style rooted in the heritage music of South Asia presented through this concert enthrals the diverse audience. This segment has become a premiere showcase of the diversity of South Asian music through presentation of a markedly different genres & styles.
