EVENT COORDINATOR

DURATION

JOB BRIEF

Event coordinator is an enthusiastic and well-organized team member who will be responsible for delivering exceptional CMHC events which are effective, cost-efficient, and most importantly, memorable. You will be responsible for every aspect of an event, from managing to evaluating success afterwards.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand requirements for each event.

Plan and execute events with attention to financial and time constraints, and making sure the event objectives are met.

Manage team members/volunteers and co-ordinate their activities.

Help in scouting and booking venues, and scheduling activities.

Research vendors/service providers and make selections based on creativity, quality, and cost.

Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations, etc.).

Manage the event specific outreach and marketing.

Develop content for event materials and work with graphic designer to produce.

Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. registration, tables, technology, etc.) to ensure everything meets standards.

Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems.

Evaluate event’s success and submit reports.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING COORDINATOR

JOB BRIEF

Social Media Marketing Coordinator will combine marketing and social media management skills to enhance CMHC’s social media presence and achieve superior community engagement and intimacy by developing and strategically exploiting all aspects of a social media marketing roadmap.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop a social media marketing roadmap for CMHC, which includes content creation, and implementation schedules

Generate, edit, publish, and share daily text, image, and video content that builds meaningful connections with CMHC’s audience and encourages action on their part to engage with CMHC initiatives

Optimize all CMHC social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube) to increase visibility and engagement Use software such as Hootsuite or Buffer to schedule and automate social media posts

Capture and analyze data/metrics relating to posts and use this information to continually improve CMHC’s social media strategy

Moderate user-generated content according to the policies of each platform

Engage social media influencers to take their help in building CMHC’s profile

Develop and execute strategy to drive audience to events and activities

CONTENT CREATOR

JOB BRIEF

You are a passionate and technically-skilled candidate to fulfill the role of Content Creator. Through this role you will utilize graphic design, photography, videography, and editing skills to create digital visual content for CMHC initiatives and promotions.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop visual content, both graphic and video, to be used within CMHC initiatives and promotions

Coordinate with the Social Media team to develop visual content (posters, banners, videos, etc.) to be used to promote CMHC events on Social Media

Coordinate with the Media and Communications Coordinator to record video interviews

Edit recorded interviews and other video material for CMHC and publish the final videos onto CMHC’s YouTube channel

Create original video-based content pieces for social media channels as applicable

Generate and pitch content ideas, write scripts, schedule shoots and other pre-production activities

Strategically shoot and edit entertaining and insightful video content for viewers

Gather, create and assemble footage, sound effects, music, and motion graphics

Work quickly, contribute creatively and deliver videos on a deadline

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

You are a highly-motivated, confident candidate with strong leadership and communications skills to fulfill the role of Volunteer Coordinator for CMHC. You will recruit, oversee, and manage volunteers for CMHC, and motivate and inspire volunteers to build long-term relationships with the organization.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute a volunteer plan to meet CMHC’s volunteer needs

Source and recruit volunteers through various digital and in-person communications channels

Screen applicants to ensure they have the skills necessary for their desired position, and are motivated to help CMHC deliver on its mission

Establish and maintain volunteer databases containing data such as contact information, availability, and past roles

Train new volunteers, develop schedules, and delegate roles to help execute CMHC events

Communicate with volunteers to ensure they are satisfied with their roles and remain motivated

Disseminate information regarding CMHC events to keep volunteers in the loop

Ensure CMHC’s purpose and mission is communicated to volunteers to give a sense of purpose and inspiration

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with the planning, development and execution of CMHC programs, projects, events and activities

Conduct relevant research and compile data/reports to support CMHC projects

Support CMHC projects by developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines as needed

Support CMHC projects by identifying and implementing new technology and resources; redesigning systems; recommending re-deployment of designated resources

Assist in activities directed towards securing financial resources through private and/or public funding initiatives

Assist in preparing organizational and project reports

Assist in general administration and management of the organization including co-ordination with project teams

Media and Communications Coordinator¿ is a motivated teamplayer with strong communication skills to fulfill the role of Media and Communications Coordinator at CMHC. In this role you will manage and improve the communications flows within and outside of CMHC, disseminate information on the organization to the public, and promote/maintain a positive public image for CMHC.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in developing and implementing an effective communications strategy that enhances CMHC’s position and presence with various stakeholders

Prepare media plans, releases, communication pieces, blogs to highlight CMHC activities and, publish them on various CMHC channels, and share them with other media outlets

Reach out to local media organizations, including bloggers and influencers, to foster positive relationships and take their help in building CMHC’s profile

Respond quickly and accurately to media inquiries, coordinate interviews, develop speaking notes, provide relevant information and notices to the public

Ensure communications are distributed in a cost-effective, efficient and strategic manner to maximize exposure to the intended audience

Reach out to stakeholders in the artistic community and it’s ecosystem to conduct interviews to highlight their work and also engage them with CMHC

Public Relations and Outreach Coordinator¿ will develop and execute outreach strategies and plans to reach out to the local community, local artists, and local arts organizations to establish and maintain positive relationships, and increase CMHC’s visibility within its local communities.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute an outreach plan to strategically focus CMHC’s outreach efforts towards the community members and the key community stakeholders

Plan and schedule community outreach activities to inform the public about CMHC and get them engaged with CMHC initiatives

Raise awareness of the organization and build organizational reach to new demographics

Identify specific outreach opportunities to respond to currently under-served communities

Prepare presentation materials for outreach activities and information sessions

Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with community members, audiences, partners, artistic and academic communities, and other cultural workers

Develop relationships and partnerships with artistic and academic communities and organizations.

Build a database of various stakeholders in the local artistic community.

Act as an ambassador for CMHC and its programs with the general public

Track all outreach activities and prepare evaluation reports
