Canadian Multicultural Heritage Council (CMHC) is an arts organization that strives to preserve, promote, celebrate, and develop the cultural expression of multicultural communities as a part of Canadian Heritage.
CMHC’s goal is to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for multicultural arts, culture, and heritage by bringing together diverse communities to engage and collaborate on a wide range of opportunities for creative expression and cultural participation.
From events that have been running for years, to fresh, new initiatives, CMHC develops innovative programs involving multiple art forms that reach out to all members of the public, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender or age.
CMHC’s roster of inventive and creative initiatives include lively music festivals, exciting film festivals, energetic concert celebrations, exhilarating dance performances, special exhibitions, informal pop-up performances, captivating workshops and masterclasses, and many other valuable development and networking opportunities.
